Oh my. You're painting a frightening picture here. Hopefully, most people get along with the inlaws. I know that this isn't always the case. Sometimes, you've done all you can do to get along with them, but, you're just not good enough in there eyes for there little girl/boy. What do you do about that? Well, you just hang in there and keep proving them wrong. At least you don't have to live with them, or do you? I enjoyed this humorous and well written work. Well done!

Funny entry for this contest. Your selected illustration is perfectly matched to your idea.
I can easily live with your 'foggy eve' but IMHO it could be morphed into something different if your used an adjective to describe 'eye'! LOL

Oh! this is quite funny. the poem is in correct syllable count and it has included human emotions too. a foggy evening is dreadful and especially whennthe in laws are in town.
