It would seem that Henry has at last found his little paradise pond in this blue bowl. Loved Henry's little tale Aussie, good interpretation for the pic.
cheers.

Hello Pearl, Thanks so much for reading; had fun with this one. We feed the native birds in our garden I love birds and just now I am painting/pastel portrait of our famous Rainbow Lorikeet. Blessings, Kace.
-
I'm enjoying a hot coffee (it was down to 8degrees in Townsville this morning) in my Rainbow Lorikeet mug.

An interesting story about Henry the duck. He decided he'd rather rest in cool water than have to dive for his food. But what will happen when he gets hungry again?

Was just reviewing some of the club members. This is quite clever! Love it he was "hot and bothered" and decided to cool a bit. Great job. It is not always easy to write to a photo prompt. You did great with this! Very creatively done!

Cute! Why not indeed take the cool and easy way out? Ducks are known to be very practical I hear! There's no "quack" in his sense of logic! This summer has been so hot if I could find a bigger (MUCH bigger) ceramic dish I daresay I'd join him!---Karenina

Hi Karenina! Yes, you have had a hot summer; we are just coming out of the coldest winter ever recorded. Thanks for reading my friend. Blessings, K.

I wish we could slip slide from spring to fall and back again...avoiding both extremes!

And a good evening from Oz to you, beautiful person. Glad you liked the fun write. I am fine and hope you are too? I was thrilled to take third place in True Story; all the reviewing was worth it. If you would like a peekaboo, it's called "While I live I'll grow." Much love from Kace. XXX

This is very clever and a great entry for this Cooling off club entry. I wish you all the best with this challenge. I got a real kick out of it.... seems I need more characters to meet the site's requirement so here are a few dots .................................................... ............................................. ........................................................ that should be enough.

What a cute picture Kace. This had a nice rhyme pattern and told a story. The story of Henry. You captured the thoughts of this fine fellow and presented them very well.

Hi Kace. I like the concept of your poem for this post, therefore 5 stars. The lines are rather uneven, though. Syllable count ranges from 8 to 13. First three lines okay.
Suggest a few changes, but that is totally up to you as the poet, such as tightening up and rearranging some words. (I'm giggling.)
Dove in the water, sunk with a sigh.
Up the hill he waddled, backside a-swish.
He spied a ceramic water-filled dish.
Hot, bothered he made up his mind
to sit forever and cool his behind.

Tanka you Marilyn. I placed third in true story contest. Guess my mind was elsewhere. Had fun with the duck, I don't worry about form, have trouble through dyslexia. I just write...love, Kace.
-
I know you placed third, Kace. Congrats. I signed your profile page. Fantastic. Hugs, Marilyn

Thanks so much my kind friend. Love, Kace.

This meets the Club Challenge splendidly. The instructions said to not post until the 12th so I haven't even given any thought to it. You deliver a delightful piece in poetic story for. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.
