barbara:

first and foremost, I hope your son is getting favorable results
from his cardiac testing. I know firsthand what it is like to have
a child with serious health issues.

I like "Seige of the Rockin' A" for the title of your book. Congratulations
on getting your book published.

enjoyed this chapter,
jan

Katie Jo and I will pray for your family and esp your son. He is way too young for that. (Katie Jo crosses her paws and prays to the Puppy God.) This is well written and interesting story, my friend. I look forward to getting caught up on what is going on~~Debbie

Praying for your son - he's way too young for this. Do keep us all posted. This chapter moved right along. I would vote for the shorter title "Seige..." it says the same thing I believe.
God bless your son - and keep your from fretting (that's a big order, at least it is for me)

A wonderful chapter. I can picture your characters and how they interact with each other. Mac needs to just admit she likes Logan. It may not be obvious to Mac that her and Logan are attracted to each other and are starting a relationship, but it is obvious to everyone else. Mac is a very interesting woman. I would be wondering also why he wanted to know if Mac still played poker. I guess everyone is under suspicion for attempting to kill Mac. This flows well, and introduces more characters. Well done.

Hello Barbara.wilkey,
Nice piece in continuation.
Background, Previous Post, and then starts the current part of the story.
I like your this Approach.
Smooth and captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end.
Description of scenes, especially Kitchen related matters, are interesting.
Dialogues / conversational part are worth enjoying.

Another great read. As usual always looking forward to your next chapter. As far as some things I said elsewhere, I see another example of the "are" possibly left out. "How (are??) you coming?" Keep em coming!

Thank you for the kind review. I will recheck that area, but I have a feeling it's another time us Americans have butchered the language. LOL

This is great. Joanie seems a bit of a matchmaker, so I know she'll be more than happy to provide Mac with some easy to prepare recipes. Even I would find a brownie with ice cream and chocolate topping on it a bit much. Delicious, though. Wonder what Mitch has in mind for Mac when he inquires about her poker game. Excellent work with this chapter, and it moves at a great pace. judi

Hi, good to see you back. LOOK SIXES again! I miss my favourite prose writers. Just wondering about the following? Suggestion. In the kitchen, McKenzie stood beside (Joanie)and watched [Joanie]
After the men[,] headed outside,
(new line for dialogue pretty sure)"Is there anything romantic starting between you and Logan?"

Just in passing noticing a couple of instances where "are" is being omitted as in the following examples/ Is that a way of speaking or??

How (are? or 're) you doing

Why (are? or 're)you asking?

Yay got it in the last..."Why are you interested

Hi Barbara, first of all I want to say that my thoughts are with you. What a worry it must be. I hope your son is okay.
Then to the story, and that's where my six comes in. It's well written and I'm looking forward to more. I like McKenzie a lot. Ulla xx
