A very nice poem that emits confidence, reassurance and hopefulness all in just a few words. Often the days can be hard, but we must power through them, that's for sure!

I think your poem and notes say it all. Life can be overwhelming when we have a million things to do but if we start off and simplify it by doing something for ourselves first, then it'll all be okay. I should be cleaning..but this seemed like the better option. No regrets. lol

Sad to be out of sixes. I needed an upbeat start to the day and you so very eloquently and poetically provided it. This is lovely. Simple, honest, clear and wonderful. I start each morning at about 5 a.m. (age 61-sleeping issues) by lighting a prayer candle for all the needs I want to pray about and focus on AND can't cover them all OR am afraid I will forget someone or something. It is my perfect start to the day.My youngest son (now 34) always said I would burn down the house and my argument is that one can't burn down the house with a prayer candle! (Let's hope that is true!)
Such a lovely piece you have worked up! Thank you for sharing!

In my opinion, a charming write, warm in its message of sound advice and smooth rhyming rhythm. I would change only the last line, so it doesn't appear egotistical in nature. I recommend a third person script, versus first person...

I think this has an easy rhythm that finds its way into the reader's heart. It is appealing to any range of reader. I think it is a good motto poem that would be nice to put on a mirror or fridge. I like the line "Make the better best." Thanks for sharing!

I love the words to your poem. They captured my attention from the first word to the last
These thing I do all day because the devils imps are always in my way.
I don't know why they come to me for I'm protected by God shields me day and night So I am always on safe praying grounds.

Thank you so much for your informative review and input. Yes, we're protected by the spirit of God but the Word also says "many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers us out of them all."
Battles are evident and there're "devils and imps" pestering us but "greater is He that is in you than he that's in the world." They can't do a thing without the Lord's permission.
