With all the wonderful and endangered species that live and breathe,
I find it difficult to mourn for those that happily exist in imaginations.

I liked this. It's a short but entertaining read :)

Here are a few points you might like to consider:

All alone I stand here awaiting my demise. -- I'd insert a comma after All alone.

They long ago stopped -- I find this a bit clunky. Maybe Long ago, they stopped is better?

I do hope so! I hope it is a he, not a she. -- That's a neat ending. It caught me totally unexpectedly :)
