I do believe it is obvious that you taught English, as you certainly have a way with words.

I don't think there's anything more restful than water, whether flowing over rocks in a stream, a calm pond, a waterfall, or in the mighty ocean, adrift and floating with aim. Beautifully written a great narrative, written in tetrametric stanzas, in aabccbddb rhyming, well done, congratulations, blessings, Roy

Masterfully crafted, eloquent, descriptive, rich in meaning and a delight to read aloud. I love the rhymes. especially alone and unknown...very inventive! Good phonics and alliteration, etc. Superb flow and meter.

my destination vague, unknown.
FAVORITE LINES:
The dory's prow sun-pointed west
on silent waves of layered gold,
a breeze astern subdued, not bold.
I love the AHA and serenity of the closing:
My spirit's calm, my soul's at rest
although my catch was small today.
I sit transfixed by this display,
aware that I am truly blessed.

Hi Rod. I really enjoyed reading this poem. It is easy to read and the rhyme and meter does not force the reader to "squeeze" the words to make them fit. The word that comes to mind after reading it is "placid." Very nice. Robert
