I found this particularly interesting because I have been pondering this question myself. Some people think that truth is actually what they hold in their opinions. Others need factual reality-based evidence to consider something a truth. It's really a very philosophical question. Thank you for sharing this. Hugs.

EXCEPTIONAL and I so wish I had SIX STARS to give you but I'm all out;-(
I loved this quote of the many definitions of "truth" - "There are definitions in thousands; the authors and writers of different known and unknown subjects have published incomplete definitions of truth," Samuel answered."

Thanks for sharing this piece and many blessings to you and your family;-)

I love how you addressed the fact that there isn't just one definition of something. This holds true especially for the word "truth", seeing as it can be viewed as a good or bad thing. I look forward to reading more of your writing. Good job!

A very interesting piece. I particularly liked "There are definitions in thousands; the authors and writers of different known and unknown subjects have published incomplete definitions of truth," Samuel answered." Thank you.

What does it matter anyway? Definitions these days change from person to person like the game telephone. Add technology to that and you have a huge mess on the horizon. Interesting write. Not sure if the names are from the Bible. As I don't believe and therefore don't read about fairy tales. I think they might be and that's why you had to put that warning afterwards. Or maybe because of the picture you chose to put up.

This is an interesting conversations between Samuel and Daniel. What you tried to say in this story is a good open what truth is.

What I can offer is: "Chris Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and TRUTH shall make you free" (John8: 32)"

Liars always carry a quilt feeling but the truth will set people free.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your reflections about "truth". I appreciated your descriptions of truth and the lack of certainty about any of them. Your use of dialog was very effective. I enjoyed the eye-catching picture also. Be safe and well- Joan

A great piece on truth, sort of a debate or deep discussion, between father and son.

I like the patience of the father, Samuel, as he attempts to satisfy the insistent curiosity of his son. How many such conversations do we have with our children? And yet, this conversation is unique in it's depth and desire of the child to truly understand a concept that's so hard to define.

Great job,
Rhonda

To me truth is best defined as being absent of deceit and reliant on absolute and/or accepted and established fact. And I guess that's why in our courts of law guilt must be proven and not innocence. This is why a person accused is acquitted rather than declared innocent.

I find this posting quite difficult to follow. The opening is somewhat stilted. Why not a simple statement, "Father, what is truth?"
The fourth paragraph a ramble that is somewhat convoluted and does not answer the question, what is truth.
Why is truth capitalized? Think this posting needs some work.
Good topic but presentation needs some work.

I acknowledge with thanks the acceptance of your suggestions.

But, I need your clarifications for and explanations to your following sentence.

Why not a simple statement, "Father, what is truth?"

In your review, you have written the aforesaid sentence with a suggestion to be followed by me.

But, I am sorry, I need your clarification, because I do not understand the grammatically wrong, incorrect, incomplete and inexpressive sentence, I think.

Please clarify your sentence with explanation from English Grammar and help me to understand your suggestion correctly, completely and expressively.

Please help me to learn more.

I am sorry to note your fourth sentence in the review, if you read thoroughly, the answer to the question, what is truth, is there in my fourth paragraph, not in the word you expect, but it is there, but you have missed the answer.

"No, it is not a complete definition of truth; truly, I don't know a complete definition; moreover, I never found a complete, full, universally acceptable, or scientific definition. There are definitions in thousands; the authors and writers of different known and unknown subjects have published incomplete definitions of truth," Samuel answered.

Please read it thoroughly, you will find the answer.

I do not defend or plead my work anyway.

I have just written the fact as fact.

    With the kindest personal regards,

Please look at your watch, you have already taken, used or wasted about 15 hours just to write an answer to my simple question.

Please hurry and send explanations and clarifications etc to your wrongly, incorrectly and inexpressively written sentence, and about your misinterpretation and misunderstanding of the fourth stanza of my work, as you have expressed in your review of my work.

Please let me know the truth.

Promotion of my work will expire soon and it will no longer be listed on the available release listing and I will continue losing a lot for your mistakes.

    Thanking you in advance,

    With the kindest personal regards,
