The suspense is building well. I suspect Constantine is a trickster by the way he calls George Thrasher G-Thrash. Excellent exchange of dialogue.

Very imaginative chapter. Great imagery as well. Ii got a good image in my mind's eye while reading along. There is a whole other life living in the garden besides plants.

HOORAY!! :) I am so very glad you've decided to jump in and follow Nicholas and company!! :) Fantasy is what I enjoy the most... in fact, Even though I'm purposefully keeping each one to about 500 words on purpose, it is so-o-o tempting to go longer!! ;) :) But, I shall persevere (wink, wink!) and will be sure to keep you entertained! ;) :) Have a wonderful week ahead... Yvette :)

For some reason, it looks as if I didn't read these, or at least this one. I know I was reading this. This is so cute though... I love your fantastic fanciful mind! :)

Yvette,
And yes, so the adventure begins...I'm not quite sure how I have missed the first 5 chapters, but I saw the 6th chapter posted and thought I might well read from the beginning. My Evelyn would LOVE this, but she doesn't have the patience to wait for up and coming chapters, so I will let her read when you have finished. ;)
On to chap 2...
Beth

This is a delightful little story. I like the fact that it isn't so long and it is easy to read for failing eyesight. I think you're a good writer who knows how to keep a reader interest.

You really joined in - HOORAY!! ;) ;) So glad you're getting caught up and will be ready for next month's chapter... during the school year, I set a 'reasonable' goal of a chapter per month - it'll be such fun with you following! :) :) Have a wonderful week! Yvette

What a clever way to introduce the enchanted bush Rosa and the gnome Constantine to the reader. I knew when Nicholas couldn't find his way around the bush that something magical had to be going on. I love that everyone is so happy to be rid of the old grounds keeper. Looks like Nicholas is in for a wonderful time.

I found this interesting and fun to read, YM. You did a great job introducing this chapter, the scenery, and the characters (perhaps the prologue did some, too. I will check that out). I like the quick thinking of Nicholas. I like the magical 'things' that happened here in this garden. I will continue to follow. Thanks for sharing and reminding readers to look back. Respectfully with Love and admiration, Jan

Oh, wow poor Nicholas has had a bit of a rough start, I think. However, I think he will get along with others very well, especially having in mind how much they disliked the previous Groundskeeper. This part was also very fun to read and wonderfully written, it just takes me away to this beautiful garden where anything is possible.

This chapter is even better than the previous. The conversation flows really well and it's a very easy read, something that kids would like. I love the fourteen year old humor in it as well. Great job!

You should pop over to my portfolio and read the first few chapters of my young adult story when you get a chance. I feel like you'd like it.
