This shows a man who is both awed and thankful for the love of his wife and surprised at the length of the happy relationship. I am happy she is cancer free. I know the broke of the years to right in a more romantic style but if prefer the more modern thirty six year and sixty nine, since the rest of the poem has no other archaic uses.
