Such a bittersweet poem. I'm certain your wife looks on you and smiles. How could she not? Any woman would be happy to know a man like you. Good luck in the contest.

In your poem this man's wife passed away and went to Heaven. It is so sad, but an interesting poem. I like this poem. It seems that he is still alive and trying to move on. Well written! Good luck in the contest!

I'm so sorry to read about your wife. It must be incredibly hard to lose someone who you feel empty without. You have my deepest condolences. I'm sure she wouldn't like you feeling this way

I believe this is more to you than another contest entry, but I hope I'm wrong. Experiencing the loss of a beloved wife is one of life's worst tragedies.
My condolences,
Don

You have summed up nicely the pain a widower sees after their life's best friend has gone away. I have been one for thirteen years and the feeling you wrote never changes.

I feel the angst and depression in your little poem Well done. Perhaps you can find a little life through sharing your creative power and venting with others Sorry to hear of your loss.
The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" May God Bless you sir.

Wow! Great poetry, R P. The artwork is perfect for the story being related in your three lines. Obviously, you are missing your wife terribly and probably always will. Your poem reflects that so well, my friend. : ) Bob

Fact dear poet. More like existing day by day. Nothing is real anymore. All desire to exist as I survive waiting for the Lord to appear. Occupy until I come. I hope you win the contest.

When I saw the graphic accompanying your poem, I steeled myself for some desolation of the spirit. I am sorry for your partner's departure that has drained your existence of its vitality. You will be reunited in heaven, where you can live again..
