This is a wonderful story for the contest, Kace. You're story is raw, telling it the way it was and still is. You continue helping others even after you suffered a terrible loss yourself. Well done my dear. God bless you and good luck in the contest. xxx Nancy:)

This meets the contest requirements beautifully. It's such an inspiring story, dear friend. Your courage and fortitude shine through in every well written line and I am sure this will provide others with the strength to carry on in the face of whatever challenges come their way. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

Bravo! Your story is inspirational. Aussie. I applaud you for not giving up. Dealing with your life after the accident was/is a monumental effort. But, look at what you have accomplished since then. Thanks for sharing and best wishes Jan

Oh my land, you are one strong woman, Kace. Of course nurses most definitely are a hardy bunch of people.

I think you've done a fine job illustrating some of the challenges getting your life and mobility back in order after your amputation.

Wishing you much luck with the Contest Committee with this gem.

Gloria

I enjoyed reading your story. I too am a nurse and put on disability due to severe asthma so I understand your feelings of being on the other side of the bed, so to speak. My sister, also a nurse, had her leg amputated due to diabetes (she had a stroke just the day before surgery which has affected this whole process for her). I was glad to see that you worked with people. She told me that when she would see other amputees walking it gave her a big boost. She is walking with a walker now (she's 70 years old) and wants to be able to walk with a cane. I'm glad that you have accomplished so much, Thank you for sharing your true story, you gave me a bit more hope for my sister!)

Patty, Nothing is impossible with faith. I turned my life around and I think in hindsight, a better person for teaching other amps to live life to the full. Blessings, Kace.

I love this story and the way the author writes. She is real and inspiring in the way she writes and in her story. Her writing is easy to read, flows very well, and keeps you wanting to read more. This author is very inspirational and, best of all, she dedicated her life to helping others in similar situation. She did not give up. Congratulations and you have a great gift.

Aussie:

This is not only a true life story of becoming a victor in the
midst of tragedy through a kind of perseverance most of us
will never need to experience; but, also one of someone
helping someone in a similar situation not give up (early in
your rehab).

Good luck in the contest,
jan
