Hi, this was good, I feel it is dishonesty to play with people's feelings and so on. They are not worth the trouble in my opinion. This was well done and I liked the picture as well.

I'm just like you Brenda, I wear my heart out on my sleeve... this is good and bad though. I have found that it leads to my becoming not much more than a 'convenience' in the long run. I'm always there when he needs me to be. The funny thing is, my current bf and I were dating... very casually, no strings, and he disappeared. Not a word. A friend talked me into going out with another guy that really liked me and we hit it off in a big way... next thing you know he was a fixture in my home. Well, guess who showed back up. Turns out he went on vacation. Had a couple of weddings, went around the country to visit his kids and see his parents and a couple of his siblings. Never said a word to me about it. When he came back he wanted me back but he was too late, the other one was already here... the chase was on! LOL, It's the only time in my life that I've ever been persued and boy was it fun! :)

Most species have mating games. Rather than reject the mating game, embrace it. It's only temporary. However, I did enjoy reading your poem. The rhyming and flow were excellent.

An interesting piece and a commentary on love and relationships. Sometimes it has a happy ending, sometimes not. Unrequited love could possibly be the most pure, unsullied by disappointment. He loves her, but she loves him, and he loves somebody else. The pieces never fit. But, then when you are each other's one it's almost magical with a little work. Good write!

And that's a good thing. Games people play are often so "see-through" and phoney - don't like them. So why should we play games with people's hearts - not.

That is a very good attitude. Call a spade a spade. Why not be truthful and let someone know how much they mean to you. It is uplifting to be on the receiving side of someone's true love, especially when you might feel the same. Good poem says it all.

Great commentary on the games people play! I'm with you, I cannot pretend to be someone I'm not and if letting my feelings show makes a man leave, then he was not the right man for me! There is a difference in being alluring and slightly mysterious and being aloof for the sake of head games! Great job!

Thank You for your kind review. I didn't choose a particular form at the start. It just took its own form as it came out. I was struggling with the advice I was receiving that I felt was contrary to my character.

Yes, I am finding that there are many different ideas on poetry forms. Not the basics but the details.
