A very well-written poem about planet earth which we know as our only home where we can breathe and enjoy the sunshine from the skies above, if we do not take care of or home we will certainly have no home for much longer.

Your poem touched my heart. You start out with lovely images that comfort, then stop us in our tracks by asking, what does our future cost? Hopefully we'll pay attention before it's too late.

I fear we are on the slippery slope already, with species extinctions speeding up. I admire your poetic activism; the world needs conservation champions. You introduce a good range of fauna and flora and write of them with appealing imagery. Being an Aussie, I was pleased to see koalas mentioned!
I try to write some environmental poems myself; i've just posted one about swimming with a turtle in which I hope people will take notice of the message at the end.
