I admired your focus on climate change and thought-provoking questions. Your alternating rhymes add to the intensity of your message. Here's to conservation and peace! -Joan

I think the planet is going through irreversible change at present friend and I think many will perish because of it. The powers that be around the globe who could make a difference are not listening. They are too caught up in their existence, they covet power, wealth and status.
Your poem asks questions and expresses the possibilities that could await every living thing on our planet should we continue on our present course. Very nicely put together.

Pam, how wonderful to see a poem from you. You ask some important questions, and my guess is we won't act in time. Japan just opened up whale hunting again. Ugh.
Some terrific lines in this poem. I got a real charge out of the cawing crow belting out his tune.
A most enjoyable read today.

Great to see your post today, Pamela! And thank you for this great message for all of us to do our part to help conserve and be good stewards of this beautiful planet. I like how you started with tiny insects and then covered the largest land mammals and ended with a challenge!

I enjoyed your poem on climate change, Pam. You did a great job formatting your lines, the rhymes are great, and I really like the way each verse asks an important question. Your last verse sums up your thoughts well. Is it up to ALL pf us on this planet we share to overcome this obstacle before it is too late. Thanks for sharing and caring. Jan

There are very few animals that try to change their einvironment to suit themselves. Most have become adept at adapting themselves to the environment. Man however, wherever he finds himself does everything he can to change the envvironment to suit himself. He drains, floods, heats or chills to bring the environment into line with his requirements. And it may be that he has gone too far.
This poem gives many examples of how animals tend to stay where the environment suits them and become perfectly suited as a result over time.

-Very nice image, Pam.
-It's good to see you on FS.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-This is an excellent poem
with so many examples of things in nature.
-The imagery is effective as
you show the positive side
of the animals and the trees
and how things were.
-Your questions at the end
of each line are very good,
and thought provoking.
-The concluding verse is
also excellent.
-Thanks for sharing.

Good morning Pam, what a lovely poem Pam. We have taken so many species off of our planet by taking away their habitats, food, and way of life. Through things like deforestation and pollution. The planet has its own cycle and certain things would have been happening anyway... but we haven't been helping issues.

A beautifully constructed poem with a message that I feel great depth of compassion and awareness.
I am so sorry that you too are ill and I wanted to express to you how much your writing has been in my thoughts over these last few months, as I too have had some medical issues. I struggled with some despair and depression over them, then I went into the cancer center for infusions daily and I took on a whole new perspective about spreading light and love as much as possible. If you haven't already discovered this app, please check out Tik Tok for support, amazing enlightenment, hilarity and overall entertainment. There are some things and people there that are truly special. I think you would find some joy in the moments seeing people in the light of appreciating all the things you write about in this poem. Also you can spread any and all messages that you would like to leave as well. If you so choose. There are nature buffs showing you places of beauty and awe inspiring scenes that will have you taking mental vacations. If you do not know how to find it or want more info about it, please message me.
Your poetry is stunning. Your words are beautiful.
Your soul shines through! Pam I offer blessings, peace, joy and relief of your situation. I will miss reading anything from you and will probably go back and read over and over some of my favorites of yours! Because you have touched me in this life!

A very powerful and relevant piece on the need for man to wake up and smell the pollution. Living in denial will not prolong the life of this beautiful planet. Thank you for highlighting this serious issue.
