Catching up to this chapter tonight. How horrible for such a freak accident to happen. It's wonderful to see he has such a living family who cares about Cathy and how this accident affects her. I do hope to read on that everything will be ok. xoxo

Hi Diana! Sorry for the delay. It's been so busy and we've been doing a lot of writing. If you aren't aware, we are working on four books together, all at the same time! Shee! I like the idea that your including some music being your heading to Tennessee, in this story. And I do hope he's okay and will make it. Its surprising how real this story sounds. Unto the next chapter.

OH MY GOD=you're yelling at the reader.
Tears flowed down my face and my hand holding the receiver began to tremble.
With a low, weak voice I said, "Yes. I'm here."
When did you plan on the flight to Pigeon Forge? Were flights easy to book?
Does the scene with your mother add anything to the story? Was she completely against Billy?
You have many opportunities to use your writing skills to enhance this story.
You write fast-slow down. I do the same.
FYI- "The Ring of Fire" was written by June Carter Cash and Merle Kilgore and recorded by The Carter Family in 1962. Johnny Cash only sang it in 1963 and later placed it in one of his albums and a single that made him rich.
Revisions and rewrites are a pain-but a great tool to use.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read and review Chapter 6 of Love Long Distance. We understand what you are sharing here, and we appreciate your suggestions, but we differ in our thoughts.
- What is wrong with a fast pace? We feel a faster pace works well with a lot of readers. Honestly, some books can put people to sleep with all their details!
- Is it really relevant to have to say the phone is on a table?
- Yes, the phone woke Cathy up. Don't think it needs to be explained any further. Readers know that a ringing phone will do that.
- OH MY GOD is meant to be loud--she's shocked!
- Are flight details really necessary? How would they add value to the story? We don't think they are, although you will notice we include the type of plane. That's because we purposely include historic facts throughout our novel.
- The scene with the mother IS very important. We suggest you read previous chapters and reviews. In time, the reader will understand why the mom is the way she is.
- We do thank you for the correction about the song. It has been fixed. Good catch! Our bad.
- Totally agree about your comment regarding revisions and rewrites.

Ho Tootie. I'm really happy that Bill has pulled through but with serious injuries. One of the techniques I like really well is what I call "Work within a Work." When the characters create a poem or story within the greater story, that is exemplary. I will follow the story cause I like it and it's good.

He did a great job expressing the genuine emotion during a life-threatening time between people that genuinely love each other.
