Excellent. This is an old theme that you've put fresh words to. I can relate so very well to this, as I used to star gaze and have similar "earth centered" thoughts. Excellent pace and rhyming. I especially liked the "cleared" and "weird" rhyme. Hugh

Thanks. I was staring at a blank page and out the window at Venus. I came up with this.

Hi, yes we all wonder what is there there. We do not know so we wonder adding little bits of knowledge, One on top of another thinking they will add up ,like two and two.
But this s healthy thinking, a way to know.

Thanks. Of course there's most likely nothing on Venus, but this was fun. Glad you enjoyed it.

Hello Friend,
Nice flight of Imagination meeting the desired norms, and beautifully depicting its theme.
Matching the theme phraseology, and smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme.
Best of Luck!

Thanks for the six! This one was a lot of fun once I got started. I was sitting staring at a blank page and out the window at Venus. This was the result.

This was a fun read, I'll bet it was fun to write. Imagining that there are beings on other planets is kind of stretch, except Mars we all know little green men live on mars. Nice job. Good luck in the contest.

That was a nice cute little poem. I enjoyed it. The rhyming was good and the flow was good as well. I think the part I appreciated the most was the fact that you wrote from the perspective of Venus. Good job!

I liked the way you turned your imagination around 360 degrees. First wondering what kind of life-force may inhabit such a scorching planet to the creatures themselves looking up and seeing our world and wondering what kind of life-force we would be. Nice!

This tells up what you image aliens from Venus (Venutians?)might look like and like to do. You also muse on whether they have the same thoughts as you do,
Good luck in the contest. Keep writing

Thanks. This one was fun. Are they Venutians or Venusians? I'm not sure.
-
My pleasure. That was my question. According to the internet it is Venusian or Venerian. I would go with Venusian. And we all know the internet is always right.

Of course the internet is always right. When I brought Max home, I did some research to see if there was anything in particular I should know about his breed. I found out they'd been traded to us by aliens in exchange for Elvis. LOL In fact they're a mixture of domestic long hair and Persian.
-
A so Elvis still lives. Maybe the aliens can abduct some of his biggest fans to they will be happy.

I hope he's happy. There's no way I'm going to trade back.

Thanks. I DID have fun reading this. I marvel at writers who can take something as simple as seeing a star and running with imagination to take us where most of us have pondered. Bravo! Job well done. Write some more!

I love the upbeat feel of this verse...
I see them as much friendlier sorts
Around a volcano toasting smores
Maybe dancing and singing while building forts
In case ash and lava pours.
