The title is quite interesting! Superb use of symbolism to bring out the fact that most of us fail to realize. Keeping aside all the differences we might have, the feeling of basic respect is something we must all have for one another. This is a strong contender for its sensible theme and fine poetic skills. The title and ending line, are a wonderful phrase and comment, on treating others with kindness. I love the attachment of the term "beauty" in reference to "respect." The painting you chose is lovely, and so beautiful in its own way, that it adds a feature of beauty, which needs to be seen, as well as read. Your notes flush out the message of the piece nicely. I like the metaphor used of a tender garden, to represent respect due, in relationships of all kinds. The flow is smooth, the rhymes are well chosen. The simplicity of the choice of words and phrases adds much to the overall meaning you convey so well. Excellent message and poem. Thanks for sharing.

You would think that it would be so natural and easy to accord one another kindness and ultimately reap respect. But, that's not how it is these days, unfortunately. We need to be reminded to walk tenderly through the garden so that we don't end up trampling on one another. Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom.
