The answer is simple really: "what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive!"
...and these artful little arachnids are practising to deceive.

Debra,

This was such fun. I can relate to the walking into invisible webs things - I'm sure most people can. That made this poem even more fun. Thanks for the smile!

If you have a fear of spiders, I think I can help. Imagine that you're sleeping and a big spider crawls across your face. While it does she lays eggs in your tear ducts. In three weeks, thousands of baby spiders crawl out of your eyes. Fell better now?

Hi Thomas. Good job I?m comfortable with spiders! It?s their sticky webs I have an aversion to! Best wishes, Debra :)

Yucky yicky. It's happened to me too. I noticed they sometimes spin webs across hiking trails from one tree to another. Perhaps the bugs fly in open spaces rather than in the trees? You'd think they'd wise up, so they can avoid the webs getting destroyed.

This is cute...short and to the point. Well timed and rhymed. Well presented. I bet kids would LOVE this a ton.

Hugs, rd

I love this teeny tiny rant.

Don't diss spiders. Remember they're preforming a great service by trapping flies etc that can do us harm.

And their webs are works of art.

Some angry spiders are probably venting to their friends about the giant that's going around wrecking their hard work. LOL

Blessings Julia

Haha! You?re most probably right, Julia! I actually like spiders, I just don?t like unwittingly walking into their webs!!
Thank you for your lovely feedback. Best wishes, Debra :)

It is an awful feeling to walk int the web that a spider has left over night. I enjoyed this short poem. May your week be blessed.

I enjoyed this poem about annoying spiders' webs. The only time they're not annoying is when you don't run into them or not in the house. I think it's a plot to annoy humans!

-Good artwork, Debra.
-This sounds like it could
become a children's book
of poems; "Why Do They Do That?"
-We live in a wooded environment,
and have spiders and other
not so wanted insects.
-At least spiders get rid of those.
-I think we don't know because
their webs are not all that visible,
especially outside.
-I'll walk by a tree and
feel the web on my face, too!
-It's not a very good answer,
but it's the only one I've got!
