My thought is any hallucination, actualization possibly, that gives one comfort and the feeling of well-being is of value. Being old and male , I'm hoping God is a really hot looking babe. I'm trying to think of what else would make heaven worthwhile I don't have that long to wait, My Mother-in-law, not a very nice lady, once said, "everybody gets their ticket punched". I enjoyed your poem and I appreciate your being positive if you were under or in that kind of a situation. Best wishes.

Well Victor 66, I truly and sincerely hope that you would have a longer wait to see the other side. So true that every does get there ticket punched...we were given to certainties come in this early body, paying taxes and paying the grip reaper. I welcome the best wishes...

I'm not worried about dying. I just hope it doesn't come at an inconvenient time. How does the saying go? "Live for the day because tomorrow is promised to no one". Take care.

In my opinion, and I restate, this is only my opinion, this poem appears to mock the concept of "faith," and I am particularly sensitive in this area. My rating is strictly for the time spent in the write, but I cannot justify a higher score. There is a touch of levity to your poem, hard on the heels of your 'sense of imminent doom'. How true of life: we laugh, we cry... we believe and see whatever it is that can help us get through a difficult situation, and seeing God, in whatever shape or form would be a particularly comforting happening.

Hi JLR, They call HER Mother Earth... they call HIM Father Time... Why then does God have to be gender specific at all? I fully suspect that God is hermaphroditic. (ick! but it's the only way you can reproduce with yourself!)

Susan, while the whole concept does stop one to pause...I appreciate the total mystery at the present time in my life, as I have yet to encounter one who has come face to face with God/Sophia and told me there thought and opinion, so thus, I wait to find out...thanks for your insight!

I suppose since no one (at least in our era of time) has ever seem God, I guess He could be a she! Haven't ever thought about that possibility before. I guess anything goes these days.

This is a very interesting faith poem. I never thought of God as having pigtails before. People often talk about various skin colors, so why not be female with pigtails. One day we will all find out for sure.
