A chip off the old block eh? Chin chiselled from granite, in that Kirk Douglas way? Doesn't matter as long as that chip doesn't remain on your shoulder! Like father, like son, like mother, like daughter as the saying goes... but like you said I bet you wouldn't change them for the world! A lovely tribute to hubby and son and I hope they appreciate it :)

A very well-written rhyming poem and an excellent interpretation of the artwork. We are all part of our parents mold in one or other way and we will find ourselves in them too.

What a fun and clever rhyme written for a specific person--yet with universal ideas that reflect most parent-to-child comparisons. Hope it adds smiles to your family's Fathers Day

That's so sweet. Am I really your cup of tea?

Phyllis Stewart and I have collaborated for a few years on an advice column for members. We posted one this morning. It's called Bowl of Stew. You might want to check it out.

Hi Debra
What a lovely poem you have written for Fathers day about your husband and son. So cute. They must be honoured to have a poem dedicated to them. It seems you are blessed with the perfect family. Love Jen.

I love this. It's both funny and tender.
My three men are quite alike in some respects too. For example they don't usually share their feelings.
I think the fourth line is great. Hilarious.
Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE this!! My very favorite line was
"It's easy to see how he'll look when he's old (er!)"
Very diplomatic, Debra!! (and adorable...)

This is wonderful tribute to the father of your children. Are you printing this out for him, I hope?
xo
