I love this poem about a parent watching a child on the carousel. My ear expects to hear rhythm to match the rhyme, so I stumble a bit over the lines where the last syllable isn't stressed. Stardust in her hair after a carousel ride. Enchanting!

Thanks for the helpful review. Funny that I did not envision a child, but an old married couple enjoying the fun. Cheers.

This is beautifully written. It paints a picture in my mind of being at the fair and watching the children on the carousel enchanted by the experience. As I read I could feel the tiger going up and down and almost hear the music. Great poem!

Thanks for the encouraging review and sparkly stars. There is an antique carousel at Shelburne museum with wonderful animals. The tiger was my favorite. So glad it resonated with you, cheers

This is truly a mild ride rendition. . .those rides are much more robust for me. Nice job, you've followed all the rules of the contest and I wish you the best.

Such a fun little fantastical write that uses the carousel to show the lens through which the vision of beauty of a lover is viewed! ;) ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)

Thanks for the review. There is a beautiful antique one at Shelburne museum in Vermont. With the warbling calliope and summer breeze, everyone is young again.

A poem that brings out the memories of joy and child-like excitement that these old-fashioned carousels bring forth. What stories they could tell. "Eyes closed in sheer delight" says it all.

Thanks for the insightful review. There is still an old carousel at Shelburne museum in Vermont. The warbling calliope floating on the summer breeze, makes us feel like carefree kids once again. Cheers.
