Wow--your tiny poem is so profound and perfectly matched by the mesmerizing artwork! I greatly admired your "seed" metaphor. Best wishes in the 2-4-2 Poetry contest- Joan

Oh, what a beautiful image to accompany your well written 2-4-2. Good theme and good luck in the contest. The seeds for change have to start somewhere. Marilyn

In my life there have been many times that when I put thought into a situation I found it helped me to change. May your evening be blessed and your tomorrows be bright.

A very well-written 2-4-2 poem about a single thought that can lead to a big change if we allow it to grow and become a change for the better and enriching our lives.

Yes indeed
I believe our lives are influenced by our thoughts. The more we are aware of what we're thinking, the more we're able to change what no longer serves us.

Sprouting thoughts! Fantastic that you can conjure up such a vivid image in an 8 syllable poem.

Good luck in the contest.

Blessings, Julia

Oooooh! Another good one today! You are on a ROLL, Woman!! I like the way you did "nourish" to make us think of "perish," the word that so often goes with "the thought." That was ingenious. GREAT title. And then, the 2-4-2 was equally great. Finally, that artwork! Absolutely perfect. This is one exceptional entry. I bet you it will be on top. xo

June,

It may be difficult enough to create a poem with seventeen syllables, but you accomplished it in last than half.

And the poem flows beautifully along.

IMHO Your selected illustration heightens the feeling.

Excellent 2-4-2 entry. Something as intangible as a thought can change the world. I love the image of a seed growing to the point of transforming the world. Inspirational. Hugh

I like this, June. Every syllable carries it's weight. What I like best are the title and the photo. It's not that I like the photo so much. It's what you see in that photo that I like so much. Your poem borders on being an ekphrastic 2-4-2 poem, and that is awesome.
This should do very well. I would not change a syllable.
