Yes, it's really dangerous how the standard media doesn't do fact-checking like it used to as in the days of paper news. Nothing is verified and posts from Facebook becomes news. So sad. Good message in your poem!

Political footballs turn into hot potatoes. They all want to pass the parcel. Drop it and run!! It's all bullshit and we'll never know the real truth from either side. Why should there even BE sides when the goal posts get changed all the time. Why can't it just be one team doing their best with everyone supporting them?

This is an excellent poem for the serious/humorous poem contest
Sadly, there is more truth in your words,
but it's been like that for many years,
just a tweet more extreme these days.
