Such a wonderful offering for this contest that tells of the times of love and sharing of a couple... their times together as wonderful as each is to the other! :) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the pills! :)

Beautiful poetry about the love developed and kept in a relationship of a lifetime and beyond. Very touching and enjoyable to read. Great picture to go with it.

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I changed it a little, it reads nicer now.

Good sentiment. Often as we age we find that there is less time ahead than what has already passed. I believe you wrote this with a sense of resignation and preparedness. However for some reason I felt a note of melancholy at the end. If you truly believe the end is in sight still try to find the little joys that each day brings.

Thank you Brenda. I find your words to ring true and changed the third stanza. It may be my last move, but as long as permitted to breathe I smile. :) I wasted to much of life and can't get it back, but I haven't given up. :) Thank you.

Well this is a 'real nice poem', it is touching and warm and very romantic and I wish you luck with your retirement home and I am sure you will be very happy in it, this poem marks the start of your latter years, love Dolly x

Thank you Dolly. I changed the third stanza so I can live a little longer. I'm glad you liked it. Say hi to Sally. :)

This romance poem, We Are Home at Last, runs the intent of the author in with the subconscious message from a higher authority. Home is a dwelling here as well as that final address hereafter. Nice.

You walked together with your friend, went through seasons of darkness, wandered the way smiling with love, forgotten tears of the past, now to smile, you have reached home; well said, well done. Keep writing -- DR ALCREATOR
