You make a good argument here Patricia it seems to be the same the world over! I have no idea why we even have a government these days because in Britain all they have been dealing with is Brexit! The National Health Services is in disarray! You can't get a doctors appointment or any treatment! A wise and quite brilliant write, love Dolly x

This is so true. A lot of the problems is that they have to cow tow to special interest groups. If they really just did what their constituents want,
we would have sane gun control laws and good campaign finance and maybe affordable healthcare and prescriptions so no one would have
to choose between food and medicine.

I agree, Patricia. They are doing us a terrible injustice. They will outsmart themselves, though. People are sick of it. Your poem expresses the frustration of what Americans feel. The should be fired, but we have to vote them out. Marilyn

Pat, First of all, they actually have to BE there to quibble... not all that much in my opinion. Then I fully expect that they work sort of like most contractors I've witnessed... They get to the job at 7:30, chat with each other for 2 hours, go get coffee, come back a half hour later, talk another half hour, work... sort of... for an hour and a half... until noon, then go to lunch for an hour. Come back, talk for 2 hours, work for 2 hours, and go home at 4.
Sounds about right for politicians too... except that I expect they go home at 3! LOL ;)

I'm with you on this one! Politicians are too busy worrying over the presidential election and trying to obstruct everything the current president tries to do. The border issue is just one. Members of Congress aren't doing anything about the problem; instead, they criticize the president when he tries to do something. If they'd try to take care of the nation's problems instead of worrying about the next election, something might get done. Well stated! judi
