Looking at the sky does put the world into perspective, doesn't it? I like that you rhymed your brief lune poem and that you move us from the "darkest night" to the light of stars and finally to a sense of all being right with the world. Nicely done.

Thanks. Yes, looking at the stars does help put things in perspective.

Oh, what mood, what serenity evoked by such tiny poem -- just lovely! I think this should do well in the contest because the word choices are wonderful, and you even rhymed it!

Perfect 'Lune' here. You have certainly captured the beauty of this night life reflected by your careful word choice. Yes- a soft starlight or a perfect sunrise touches our 'soul' in some way/ great picture- was it your own photo?

My home, which is in the very northern part of Minnesota back in the deep woods, at night when the moon is shimmering over the lake and there are 1 trillion stars to look out, I don't know where to begin. The soft starlight that you mentioned, is exactly that. I liked your poem very much. Best wishes.

You're welcome, and what a sweet thought.

Perfectly rhymed and perfectly effective! The darkest night clearly can be literal or figurative, which is wonderful. Everyone needs the world to feel right now and then. Thanks for the reminder to look up.

This is very nice. Down through the ages humans never get tired of gazing at the heavens. Your Lune poem rhymes and is illustrated perfectly. Great job. Marilyn

Thanks. Who doesn't love stargazing on a summer night?

Cindy: I love the nightlight with the stars and moon.
We can feel such warmth and peace. I like walking
my dogs and star gazing. Enjoy your peace and soft
starlight, too. flylikeaneagle

Wonderful Lune here, author. One can feel the mood it portrays very easily. And it is so true. Siting outside in the summer night is a wonder beyond explanation in my opinion. Good luck with this. :) Bob

In my opinion, a lovely poem in its succinct and lyric flow and striking presentation - fully compliant with the prompt requirement - best of luck in the contest...

This is absolutely beautiful, the whole overall bit. Your choice of the visual is quite an asset to your lovely poem AND how true are your words! Very late at night I love to look at the night sky (and REALLY early morning!) We are the weirdos that lie in our driveway during meteor showers! This is wonderful and Good Luck with it. I think you will do very well.
