Okayyyyy. This one just melted me! What a delightful tribute by the The (poor, outnumbered) Man of the House. This is just excellent. If it's any consolation, I grew up in a town where there was a family with EIGHT GIRLS...and then a boy. Think of that next time those girls of yours are giving you heartburn!! VERY cute poem. I loved it. It should do well in the contest. xo

Thank you for reading and considering my poem and the plight of a poor man who has spent a fortune on shoes. My "girls" are at or near 40, grown moms with 2 kids each, but they are still my girls and a kiss and a hug from them feels great - just like your review! God Bless

Well, I only got one vote and that was mine! Oh, well. I think the crowd on this prompt is a more serious crowd and view life in a more whimsical way. Don't worry; I still get a retirement check every month. Thanks again for your nice review. Keep smiling!

It was my pleasure. xo

The color and size of your font makes it very difficult for reviewers to read. Yout poem rhymes, makes sense, and it entertains. Good luck in the contest.

In some way it is more challenging to raise daughters than sons. They can be such drama queens. =} But in the end they are worth all the sleepless nights and fears. Well written and I'm glad you enjoy being a dad to daughters. Hope you do well in the contest. Rox

We are still getting used to the grandsons these girls have delivered. They can be a pain: always fighting with each other, breaking things, etc... My girls and I had such special times. This prompt gave me the opportunity to put my feelings into poetry. Glad you liked it! Thanks!
