Hi, Yvonne. I have not heard the term "Bumpershoot" in ages. Don't hyou just love that word?
I liked this poem a lot, especially this stanza, my friend:
"It feels so cozy as I mosey
from my humble nest,
while an umbrella, my dear fella,
spoils what I like best."
Good job. Bless you. Bob

Thank you. I know this is a duplicate. This happens to me sometimes when the system is slow and I try to send it. I end up sending it twice. hahahaha

Me too, Yvonne. LOL Bob

-Nice image and
presentation.
-Notes are appreciated.
-This is a well written
poem, full of imagery
and rhyme that paints
a vivid word picture.
-I like the line about
rain falling on your head-
it reminds me of a song
that was also part of a movie!
-I like the conclusion, too.
-Thanks for sharing.

You did a wonderful job with this. The flow is marvelous, and the internal rhyme is excellent and so smooth. Clever topic, also, the distain not only for an umbrella, but boots and rain hats as well. I love the you used "bumbershoot." An excellent word with great sound. You build up nicely to the last line about "the drops that angels kissed. This is exquisite. judi

I must say I did enjoy the fun, dancing meter of this one friend. Your triquatrain on the rain brought pleasure to the brain : ) Very nicely done and a very enjoyable little read. I'd be reaching for the umbrella though, ha ha.

Nice form...fun to go back and spy the internal rhymes I didn't notice first time through. Love the unfettered joy of enjoying the rain without the expected norm of pulling out the umbrellas and hiding away every second of joy we felt as children unabashedly running beneath the rainbows! The drops the angels kissed."--A stellar line!--Karenina

Thank you. I think when we lose the fun of being out in the rain, that's when we become old! 8-)

Then I shall remain forever six! (smile)----Karenina

I like the interesting theme of this well written Triquatrain.
It is solidly rhymed, internally as well. The photo-art is well
complementing.
Looks like a promising club entry.

Me too, Yvonne, but I now have a parasol to protect my tender skin from the blazing suns rays. At 6500 feet they are much hotter than when I lived in Henderson Nevada . I think Las Vegas is below Sea Level. LOL This is an adorable poem and I enjoyed it. Saw no flaws or spags. Well done! Nancy:)

Thank you, Nancy. I can't take the sunlight, either. I have lupus, and sunbathing, etc., is a no-no.

Happy Friday, Yvonne.
Gene Kelly said it best, I believe, as it concerns being rained on--at least on film...
More often than not during a summer squall you will find me right out there in it, playing with the dogs.
I'm sure folks say, "Look at that idiot. He doesn't even have sense enough to come in outta the rain."
Know what I think about that?
They're the ones who are all wet.
Great writing!
Have yourself a fantastic weekend.

I feel the same. My neighbors are used to seeing me out in the rain. Last year, I was planting some things in the years when it began to sprinkle. It felt so good, I continued on. Before I was done, it had begun to rain hard and I was drenched. Still, I persevered. The first time I truly knew what soaked to the skin meant. Thanks for reviewing.

I meant planting in the yard.
-
My pleasure as always. :-)))

A lovely poem extolling the feel of the angel kissing rain. Some of us love the feel, especially in the heat of the summer when the rain is warm. You picked a lovely subject. Well done.
