A very descriptive poem. You have used colors to influence your writing and make a wonderfully vivid image in the mind of the reader. Best of luck in the contest with this great entry.

Thank you very much, Bichon. This is such an encouraging and helpful review.

Yes! Even your theme on colors described jealousy...which is never one dimensional but layer upon layer of mistrust, suspicion, past experiences, gossip, discovered "clues", lame excuses...each metaphorically forms another layer, like onion skin thin layers of hurt... Brilliant analogy!--Karenina

And don't forget the 'gaslighting': Nooo! I would NEVER do that! How could you even think such a thing?! As if you don't have a brain in your head or spot-on intuition. So insulting.
Thank you for this perfect review.

Goes well with your perfect poem!--Karenina

-Very nice artwork
and presentation.
-The imagery is
vivid and paints a
word picture of jealousy.
-The rhyme is effective, too.
-I like the use of colors
to show different attributes.
-It is used very well in the
concluding line.
-I also like the fiery
images and the words
that relate to them.
-A very good entry; good luck.

You are quite welcome.

This is a good entry into the contest. I don't think green is the color for jealousy, unless you think of it as a sickness then it can turn you green. You are right that in sets a relationship in flames. I like all the 'ation" words which all describe the effects of jealousy.
Good luck and keep writing

Hmmm. Good point!!!

Wow! Good, clever and original poetry, author. I love how you broke "jealousy" down into its true colors other than green. Excellent idea and well written from start to finish, my friend. Good luck in the contest. Bob

Thank you again.
Comment from Jannypan (Jan)
Your words are descriptive, Mystery Author. They flow well with good rhyming groups of three lines until the end. All of the words do describe jealousy well. I like the ending that sums up the other lines. Thank you for sharing and best wishes. Jan

A very well-written poem about the many forms and shapes jealousy comes in our lives. It sometimes comes from the people we would never expect it.

I agree with you whole-heartedly on that one, Sandra. Very good point, indeed.
Comment from Sandra Montanino
It's funny how imagination places colors on our emotions. Green with envy, red with rage, and blue to calm us. I think you will do really well with your entry in the contest and your picture is very thought provoking! Good job!

Blue represents sad, too, in the aftermath of the other colors.
I so appreciate your encouragement with this piece, Sandra. Thank you.
Comment from Janice Canerdy
This is a very well-written, vivid definition/description of jealousy--
such a powerful emotion, driving force. Prisons house many people whose jealousy built until they exploded.
