This is an interesting use of colors to describe jealousy and its various consequences. I especially like the line: "stoked by mind games,
then scalded by ever-fervent claims and blames." Intriguing creativity.

Nery nice, jealousy the green eyed monster I've heard it referred as. I like the rhyming pattern and the flow of this, and you nailed the word as well feelings and meaning. good luck and have a great day

This is very nice. It walks you through the feelings and emotions that are often associated with jealousy. I could feel a change happening as I walked through the words.
I wish you good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Mia, for picking up on the increased intensity and furor. Thanks, too, for your well-wishes in the contest. I appreciate it.

You have expertly blended color with your poem about jealousy. How very clever. You started by reminded us of the classic color of jealousy, which is green, and then used symbolism to take the idea to relationships and other color associations, like blue being sadness.
Great job, and good luck in the contest,
Rhonda

Dear Mystery Poet,
I never thought about colors for jealousy before. I think you are onto something and I agree with you. There are many shades of jealousy. I hav not heard of miasmic blue before. It sounds exotic. I will look it up.
Best wishes in this contest. You have a fine entry here.
Sincerely Joy xx

Dear Mystery Poet,
Wow. It sure sounds like you know this subject rather well. Yikes! Unfortunately, some of us have seen the devastating effects of jealousy up close and personal. I hope you weren't the one hurt by it. Thanks and good luck!

I have been, but I'm smarter as a result. So, I consider that a triumph. Thank you for the kind and caring review.

Miasmic blue - sounds like a painful contusion. Jealousy has a way of morphing into violence. I found this an original and thought provoking poem. Well written.

Poem well written. Rhyme and rhythm very good as well,
You described jealousy very well. I believe jealousy can take on many colors and all at the same time!

You know I agree!! Thanks for the helpful review, Patricia.
Comment from Gloria ....
I have always thought it quite unfair to use my favourite colour green for jealousy, but alas and alack that is how it has been portrayed. This is a wonderful entry into this contest and you have well delineated some of the bluer aspects of that green hue.
Best of luck to you in the voting booth with this gem. :)
