This is a beautiful write, just beautiful. But it avoids any hint of maudlin sentimentality. In fact only at the end, with that gentle line, do not mourn, is there a direct reference that the children have passed from this life.
This poem was a pleasure to read and review.

I'm very fond of meadows, and knew I'd love this poem. It is a beautiful thought to think of the sweet children running free and unburdened but so sad to think of their mistreatment. I love how you did this.

I haven't heard from you in awhile, I guess you're not able to get on as much as you used to.
What's it been, about a month since your last post?
Anyhow, regardless of that, this is a very poignant post.
It breaks my heart to think of children dying way before their time, even if they are in Paradise with the Holy Trinity.
I too believe Heaven for kids is a lot like it's portrayed in the film, The Lovely Bones...
It's nice to see you're back and be able to read your work again.

It doesn't seem that long ago when I was growing up and we were so free to explore and play and figure out problems with other kids. Now with video games and predators and bullying, they spend a lot of time inside, well protected. Cheers, j
