Whoa! That's quite the leap there! Or, at least that's what I thought when I read it the first time. But then, as I thought about it more, I could understand. I like your poem. It does conjure up an immediate image and the metaphor for divorce is well imagined. I see in the prompt instructions it says this: "The title should contain the word tableau." So perhaps you should add that to your title in case they get picky.

I like the metaphor for divorce. That's how it seems to be. first you are alone then you meet who you think is your soul mate and get married. You are one for so long but then things start to crumble and eventually break apart. And you end up traveling the rest of your journey alone. Well written!
