Your beautifully simple poem describes a loving encounter remembered as a dream. It so realistically describes the developing closeness of a relationship with a beloved, but it could be describing a spiritual closeness too.

What a most interesting presentation for mostly iambic metred rhyming couplets.
The images and emotion you create with each carefully chosen word stays with your reader much the same way as the lover.

Thank you for reading my work and leaving a comment! That is what I like about poetry-it evokes something a little different in everyone. The person in my life that inspired me to write this poem has left this earth too early, but it was many years after i wrote this.
