Glad to hear that they ended up getting it together! How true to human form this is. There are always differences to be ironed out before we work well as a team. Unusual to see 'fourteeners on site. This one's in perfect metre. I enjoyed the informal humour of it all.

What a fun, fun, fun poem! You may know (or not) that I adore children's poetry and love to write it myself. This is one that I believe many kids would adore to read and have repeated over and over to them. It has everything! Silly animals (even lazy ones) and lots of action.

What a fun poem for the Animal Crackers Club, Yvonne. I enjoyed reading it. Your lines flow well with great end rhymes and some internal rhymes--all/tall straight/great; touches of alliteration--growls/grunts, sneak/shade. I love the dialogue of the animals and how in the end they worked together to have a successful parade. I like the lion with his nod to 'kingdom.'
