Well I love, Love and this is love, whether waiting, expecting, looking, or found, ( the one thing I would do is get rid of ( ) around, "I was told long ago" this line stands by itself, I will listen to the video later as to me it cannot enhance this work anymore, very well done, your chosen artwork is superb ****kahpot

"Love's Light", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Well now, they do say that, everything comes to those who wait, that patience is a virtue and that love will conquer all. I say, when it lands...Bask in its beauty and keep those fires burning. Nice!

Your smoothly-flowing poem is sweet, uplifting, and romantic--vividly describing love as a powerful force that rescues a person who is experiencing his/her worst times.

Thank you Janice! I hope it was easy to follow the melodic beat I was trying to create in each stanza! I appreciate your precious comment xoxo

I like the story, of how he finds her stumbling in the dark when shes been searching. The rhyming is consistent and accurate, but it doesn't work to strong effect. Some stanzas have rhyming lines (or almst rhyming), some don't, and the final lines of t he stanza are all of different lengths, so that it almost feels accidental. But that just might be my personal opinion. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you! I guess its all in how you read it as I wrote with a flow for each stanza! I hope its not too awkward to read - Yikes! Appreciate your review and for spending time reading! xoxo

I wrote a poem today that I have the same questions about. Just Right - if you could at it, perhaps we can help each other. Or not. The poem is good.

I guess I wrote this with a melodic structure like
Dadada badada
Badada Dadada
Dadada Badada
Badada
If that makes any sense LoL!
Is yours posted now? Let me know title xoxo

I posted it for a club entry, haven't promoted it. It's "Just Right," an ekphrastic poem. And Thanks!

Haha! I thought you meant the lyrical one! I?ll go look at this one also xoxo

Lovely. I am not much of rhyming poet, but I did like the flow of this one. It captured my attention. I thought the rhyme in last line of each stanza was quite well used, and not the least bit over done. The topic of finding love and it being exactly right was a bit trite, but I think you pulled it off with the fear of failure to find true love. I believe you've found your Prince Charming here.

Wow, what a lyrical poem! I especially like the last two stanzas. And I just looked at your profile and see you do indeed have a lyric-writing background. I think I would put a comma after the word "panicked." Thank you for sharing your talented writing here!

Cleaver piece with the ight rhyme ending for each stanza. This could probably be spun into a song if you have musical skills. Gorgeous picture, too. It's a bit of a mystery...vampire?

Thanks much! I do wish I want musically talented enough to set words to many lyrics I?ve written that maybe one day I can share more of. Not many here try lyrical pieces very often. And I like the vamp idea!! xoxo
