Yes that is right. Love creates its own mental telepathy between partners. You have the gist of it written in your artful poem. Lovely thoughts. Sometimes we know the words before we hear them from their lips.

In my opinion, a lovely poem in a well constructed and striking free verse presentation, no image required. It speaks imaginatively and illustratively in a familiar context, the beauty of love's beguile...

And I think you've achieved just that, estory, in this wonderfully romantic free verse poem. The deep love he feels shines through every word in this well written poem. It was a joy to read. Best regards. Ulla:))

A very well-written free verse poem about a lovers relationships that are like they do not have to say each word out loud and their partner knows what the other thinks before they say it out loud.

Nice. You achieved what you set out to do. This is a purely stylistic choice, but I struggle with the need to include "dits" (punctuation) in a free verse write. The imagery is terrific so I would encourage you to let it breathe. The use of caps at the beginning of each line telegraphs a new thought or a qualification of the last line. That's enough. DJ

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your perspective on the poem. The punctuation is really there as a musical element, to indicate a pause in the flow. There are two ways of doing it, either breaking the lines and creating stanzas, or punctuation. I'm kind of in both camps somewhat, a bit old school. estory

I must confess to fluctuating between camps relative to punctuation. Writing poetry is similar to acting. There are always other choices. DJ

Hi Estory, I like the wispy way you wove your words. They did feel that dreamy way to me. I do remember feeling that way at times, in earlier years, that stage of 'love' when you are so in tuned with one another that you can sense the next breath before it comes. Nice job. :)

This is truly lovely work! Very romantic, very dreamy and floaty. This poem read like a cloud, and yes, like the wind in the treetops. If only romantic love could remain a little longer! If only the practicalities of life didn't always intrude, but I guess that's how life is and always will be.

Thanks for sharing such a beautifully dreamy poem with us today! I really enjoyed it xoxox

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your wonderful comments supporting the poem. I'm glad that it was evocative enough to capture a special moment in life. If life were all chocolate frosting, would we enjoy the chocolate frosting as much? estory

This is a wonderful love poem. The images are vivid, especially the "bird in the morning." The rhythm is pleasant (like the "wind in the treetops"), and it serves the poem well.

I think that sort of empathy comes via the senses, repeated movements, facial expressions, to give it a logical explanation, but then who can describe the indescribable, no one who hasn't experienced the "rebirth" and the understanding of who Christ is, can possibly understand, although people, as in experiencing someone's pain or emotion. One can empathise, but not. All these things are connected. Beautfully written freeverse, well done, blessings, Roy

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your perspective on the poem. it always amazes me how different people can interpret poems in different ways, and each poem takes its own flight and becomes many different things to different people. That's part of the magic, and i'm glad this poem did that for you. estory

This is an interesting romantic poem. I kinda like it. The line that talks about hearing each others heart beat goes beautifully with the last few lines which speaks to me about the ability to read each other's thoughts, hence, the crystal ball. I enjoyed reading this well written and thought provoking work. Great job and well done!
