Great job Judi and also great finish!!! I really enjoyed this poem and although I am not close with my Mom it made me want to be. This was a cherished write that expressed to me that you are significantly close with your mother and how I've longed to have that relationship. Another friend of mine lost her mother when she was young and we both take turns nurturing each other at different times in our lives. The things you mention in this poem are ones that I can see reflected from her to me. This poem was absolutely beautiful and I want to say congratulations for your 2nd place finish in the contest! Thanks for the heartfelt review Fonda. I am blessed to have my mom and the wonderful influence on my life, I know. I still feel that energy after I have left her and feel the need to be my best, if just to make her happy. My biggest fan haha. Yeah, I get it. Nobody loves us like our mommas. Wish it might be different but it seems that's just the way it is.
Just like no one has experienced the same thing as us except our siblings. There are just some people in our lives who can't be replaced.
