A very thought provoking poem. Yes, the in between is our undoing sometimes but when Faith is present it helps us level out and get rid of the nasty and hang on to the good. Faith is such an important asset that so many do not have even though it is free. Just a little pursuit in some cases would draw them nearer. Lovely poem... well done.

Hi Brenda: I like the piece because it describes what happens between the high points of faith in the low points. The "in between" times are the hardest times to get through. I had a pastor tell me one time, it's easier to be faithful in the bad times than it is in the good times because in the bad times there's nothing we can do. We have to rely on our faith then. Your comment about a daily struggle in a Christian walk is so accurate. The only moment we have is the one we are living in now. Maybe that's why Christians get discouraged. -Robert-

Excellent poem about faith, clearly understandable with good rhyme. My only suggestion is to make your font a little larger. I realize this would
cause you to break up your lines, but us old folk have trouble reading the very small print. Excellent work.

Yes, keeping faith can be hard at times, but it is always worth the fight. We live in a day were there are so many distractions and lots of opposition to faith. Holding on is more important than ever. Well done, I hope you do well in the contest.

Really enjoyed reading this well thought through meditation about what faith is. I especially loved the last line:
"But for believers it is where Love rules and Faith's standard raises the tide."
I know that this is free verse but I felt that this line was missing a verb:
"This Christian walk a daily struggle to overcome the winds of doubt. " (either a comma or 'is' after 'walk' might help.)

Hi Brenda, I hadn't thought about it in quite this way before... I hadn't ever thought about 'the in-between' as you call it. It's just that space where you have to fill in "hard work here" lol
I do have one suggestion for you. Can you enlarge the print? It's really difficult to read when it's that small. (I can't imagine what it would have looked like on my phone!)
