Hello Sandra, what an amazing ending - how well you did with the storyline. I had to read slowly as I was bewildered like those in the story. Very well written and it must have taken an awful lot of working out - and Mildred's accent - not easy to maintain and keep it up throughout the book. I don't know how much time you have spent on your PC - I dread to think. Clever girl and the best of luck - Love Dorothy xxx

I'm now doing my editing, which has been going on all the way through with outside readers, and I'm formatting it onto the template as each chapter is completed. Remember those fun days??? LOL. The six stars if for the whole trilogy...what a monumental task, trying to keep all the many pieces working smoothly together. My only complaint is that this final chapter was too much "telling" with every detail explained. I'd suggest cutting in in half, at least, and giving only the barest necessary explanation. Leave it to readers to fill in gaps, or not. You really don't want to end such a rich series with one character explaining the story to the reader. It would help if you made that part an epilogue, after a dramatic ending, where more telling is allowed.

That's a great idea! Yes, begin with how it all ended, and THEN offer the story of how it came to be. That's one thing a prologue is good for. I've never used one, since many writers think they have to have one, and it serves no purpose in most stories. But your story is so long, it's not like you'd be giving anything away. In fact, hearing Mildred tell what happened to her would only start readers salivating to hear MORE!
You not only start with a novel, but a full trilogy! I know you're not my child, but I am verrry proud of you anyway. :)

The powers to be do work in mysterious ways. I would guess they knew that Mildred had to stay with Tommy in order for James to exist. Another reason why time travel just gets me. Thank you so much for reading this last chapter, Maria, I will, miss them, but I'm going to start writing my grandson's stories again. The last one was, Eric and the Aliens. Now I'll be writing Eric and the Pharaohs, followed my Eric and the Indians. Hope to get them finished by Christmas, or at least two of them. He's 11years old and dyslexic, but beginning to find the letters. Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xx
