I could see how a four-year old would like the second painting better. It is more like one you could mount and ride. I personally would have made the horn look like a candy cane. The poem describes well the first painting and the little girl's polite reaction to it.
You learned a good lesson in doing this.

Yes, I like the first one, too. The one accompanying the above poem. We never know what we'll get when we commission someone to do a painting for us. My preference is to buy one that I see complete and then I know I like it. Marilyn

Wonderfully done. You took the feelings of a child and re-did your art and then took your feelings and turned them into poetry. I love it. What a wonderful way to mold your ability into yet another art form. I am sure you made a little one very happy. Great job!

Sometimes an artist paints what in his heart nothing what his customer want special a child he has to put himself in a child's frame of mind and the next painting he does everyone will be happy

Rainbow Unicorns are a big thing these days! Magical creatures, in general, are a big thing these days! Don't be surprised if that sweet girl, who seems to be such a fan, asks you to paint her some fairies someday!

Man alive, those lollipops look delicious, and I'm not even a lollipop fan.
