Such excellent work with your vocabulary in this. The adjectives are vivid and help us visualize. "Wiggle" and "giggle" are very vivid verbs. You know how to add color to the scene. You give great details about the seaside memories beachgoers can take home--the food at the café, the relaxation, the sand castles. Beautifully done. judi

Hi Judi... thanks so much for the great review. We had such a good time on our trip that I had to write about it.

I know, I know... I am a tad behind on quite a bit of my reviewing but glad I finally got round to this one. This is a fun and uplifting trinet poem. Its content is so enjoyable, I fear I many pause my reviewing again and take a trip to the beach :-) Thank you for sharing and inspiring. ~DD

You have aptly described our way of life in Oz. So used to pristine beaches, beautiful oceans and the dolphins, we take all for granted. I loved your poem, something magic about visiting the beach, the children love it and the smell of the sea clears the mind and we all come home exhausted. Well done friend.

Thanks so much, Aussie. We had such fun last week at the beach that I just had to write about it. Haha. I am so glad you can relate to my experiences there.

This is excellent. You have a lot of rhyme that speaks of revelry on the
beach. I never did much ocean swimming. With my luck I would have run
smack into jaws. Sharks give me the willies. Very good poem.

Melissa,

What a beautiful presentation and representation of a weekend at the beach (or even just a few hours, at that!) This was a lot of fun - and brought many happy moments and memories to mind. Thanks a bunch!

What a descriptive poem. I felt like I was there. It took me back to the times I spent with the kids. The sandcastle challenges, lol. It's very well-written, interesting. Your great word choice takes the reader on the beach with you. Great job.

You certainly captured the joy you experienced at Virginia Beach in this Trinet Poem. I admired your rhymes, alliteration of "s's", repeats and energy, plus the clever "Neptune's buffet" . Big cheers- Joan

This is a feast for the senses, Melissa! ;) I cannot express just how spot on your chosen phrases and rolling, gentle rhythm are - oh my goodness, I am captivated and my mind is drawn to that intoxicating salt air! ;) You've employed the trinet format here better than I've read in a while....if I had a remaining 6-er, know it would be yours...;) Yvette

Thanks so much for the lovely review, Yvette. We had such fun last week that I wanted to share it and had not written a Trinet in a while... so thought I would. I appreciate your enthusiastic comments.

My husband and daughter love the beach. I have to confess I like looking at the sea, but I prefer swimming in the pool (sad, I know).
I love the shape of your poem, the rhyme and the repeated line.
Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written Trinet poem about the fun we can have on the Sandy beach. Building sand casales, or bathing in the sun, or play in the cool water on a very hot dayou.
