Now, even you must agree this was TOO SHORT!!!!! LOL
Very interesting. How can Mildred exist in two time periods at the same time? Seems gramma Mildred is going to return to Ann and Michael.
I read Pam's tribute to Mildred. It was great.
Can't wait til Sunday. This third book seemed to go so very fast. Can't believe it's ending already.

LOL. Yes, it was very short for my posts, but the last one is much longer. And I'm just writing an epilogue now as there were some loose ends that readers will want to know how they worked out. Thank you a hundred times for another six stars, and the lovely review. This book is the same length as the other two books. As for Mildred in two time periods.... Last chapter on Sunday! :)) Big hugs, my friend. xxxx

Ahh, such a great beginning of the end to have Mildred able to marry her true love!! As usual, I enjoyed this chapter! One edit for you to consider: "...thereby assuring Earth(('))s future."

Good job. Now, listen closely. You had better give Mildred and Tommy a much deserved happy ending, or I will be very unhappy and disappointed. Up to this point, it's a beautiful story, so do not ruin it. I hope you were just teasing when you told me things would end badly for Mildred. You WERE just kidding, right?

Aw, thank you for another six, my friend, and the lovely review. Kidding? Moi?? LOL!! There might be a big pond between us, but it wouldn't be big enough to stop you getting at me! lol. I'm hoping everyone will like the ending. I'll be posting it on Sunday after I've managed to build up some pumps. Big hugs, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, well I guess the the Powers-that-be turned her back human...and in another time...and whipped out her old memories...so who would know...but there will be sad days for the Veronica family...and who knows...maybe they'll meet again...sigh...and good old Charles can live in a rubber room now...maybe confessing of his crime...and no one will believe him because he's nuts...and he'll be set free on good behavior...and run for a job in congress...because that's where I think most of our congressmen and women stem from...love your story sweet girl...you have an amazing imagination my wonderful friend...and I love you much...very well written you...Linda xxoo

Aww, Linda, chin up, things are never are bad as they seem, all your questions will be answered on Sunday, well, almost all, the others will be answered to everyone's satisfaction, (hopefully) in the epilogue a few days after. Thank you so much, my wonderful friend, for the six stars, and this fabulous review. Biggest hugs, and so much love back to you. :)) Sandra xx
I'll be thinking of John tomorrow, I do so hope his legs will be right for him this time. It's good that he's out of hospital at last, so the pneumonia must be so much better. Ian has to wait another two weeks. It's never-ending, isn't it? Let me know how John does with his legs, won't you? Thinking of you all the time. xxxx
reply by l.raven on 22-May-2019

Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars and fabulous comments, Christine, you have really put a smile on my face. And a humongous hug for buying my books, that is so kind of you. One chapter to go, and an epilogue. This was going to be the final ever book in this series, but Mildred keeps popping into my brain giving me more ideas! lol. We'll see what happens. It's having people like you who spur me on. And now on the front page, there is a short story about Mildred, written by Pam(respa) that really had the water-works gushing! lol. You've all been fabulous. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Hi there,

I remember you were one of my early reviews as I eased my way back into the site here... I'm not usually one for fluff reviews, so I'll do this properly this time. Everything can of course be taken or left at your discretion.

I enjoyed some of the internal dialogue, especially Veronica name-calling herself to help with her nerves early on. I am so fond of the word "twit" as well, so it doubled the enjoyment.

there is a lot of telling prevalent in this piece however, occasionally coupled with some relatively low impact descriptive words. I pointed out the more stand out points, and some mistakes so some editing overall is necessary. Notes below are in the order I read them.

First para - "I took several deep breaths as I tried to remain controlled," in control or calm - "controlled" is passive.

(edit) of in the previous part... ok, moving on.

so... first para "Well, Gentleman," Gentlemen?

second para -

"The clunk of gold goblets touching" - touching is unnecessary.

"showed everyone's pleasure." I would use a stronger word than "showed" - demonstrated for example.

starting to lose track of paras now - " Jowell brought out the Book of Accounts, and all eyes went to the second half of the book. " second page? right side? something to that effect.

"sound asleep and snoring." this reads a little flat - would suggest describing the snoring, or omitting it.

"Walking through the line of patients, I stopped," confused tense usage. I would consider two sentences here or "I walked through the line of patients and stopped, unable..."

I hope this helps. Good luck with the final part!

    Hello,
Thank you so much for this lovely review and helpful suggestions. I will be taking some of them up and changing a few other things. It's good to see things through the fresh eyes of reviewers, it makes me look at it all in a much deeper way. One more chapter and it's finished then I have to go through from the beginning and do a big edit. I'll keep some of your suggestions in mind as I go along. Thank you, again, for taking the time to do this review, I really appreciate it. :)) Big hugs, Sandra xx

What a clever way to bring about Mildred staying in 1915. The Power That Be obviously took away her memory of anything else. Will the older Mildred be with Veronica in her own time? Let's see how that works out.

The next chapter will be the surprise. I'll post it on Sunday, give this one time to work through. I can't wait to read the reviews I get for that one. Mildred has become so popular, I had to be so careful! I don't want any hate mail! LOL. Thank you for reading this one, and for the lovely review, my friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxx

All's wel that ends well eh Sandra? An excellent solution, now we've got two Mildred's, one for Tommy, and the kids have still got their adoptive grandmother. A beautifully thought out solving of the problem, now Veronica and Mildred can go on as before. Well done Sandra, well solved, good job, blessings, Rpy

So Mildred is going to be allowed to remain with Tommy. That wonderful news. I know Veronica will miss her, but I am sure she'll be satisfied knowing Mildred is happy. I can't wait for the ending.
