An interesting chapter. I wasn't sure what was going on because it's well advanced into the storyline, but it was easy enough to read.

"Why did he decide to go immediately mom? Isn't he really very sick to take care of himself? There is no one with him when everyone goes to work."

Was this person referring to the other person as Mom?

If so, it should be written:

"Why did he decide to go immediately, Mom? Isn't he really very sick to take care of himself? There is no one with him when everyone goes to work."

All the best,
Jan

This is a conversation between daughter and her mom(Rosie). The daughter is referring to her grand father (Frank) who is sick but decides to return to his own place. To understand this conversation, reader has to have read previous chapters about the interactions between Oldman Frank, his daughter in law Rosie and Alice the granddaughter who mistakenly believes her mother was pushing the Oldman out and based on that suspicion, she is asking her that question- "Why did he decide to go immediately mom?..."
Thanks for your encouraging rating and comment. I am going to revisit that area to see if it can be improved. All the best.
