I've heard of strip poker but not strip gin. This is a very cute little limerick, i think it should do very well in the competition. Good luck and best wishes. Jen.

I mean, let's face it, Jen, there could be strip Go Fish if your have a defective deck! It's definitely not about the cards! Thank you for the well-wishes in the contest.
Comment from Gail Denham
Cute - never played that kind of poker. I like double pinoccle that's for sure. This is really a cute poem about games. "Knobby knees" - ha - the naked body is not all that appealing.

It's not poker, Gail; it's Gin!! I've never learned pinochle. But I've always loved the way it's spelled! Thanks for the review.

Oh - sorry - I was thinking "strip poker" - but the poem was cute.

This is great, so creative. I wanted to enter but couldn't think of such a clever idea as you have. Strip poker! A great way to play a game and then after play a different game..lol. Best of luck in the contest.

Yes, I highly recommend it, Boogienights.
Thank you for this terrific review. (And p.s. YOU not being able to have a clever idea? Yeah, THAT will be the day! I've read your work many a time, and you are ALL about creative flair.)

Quite limerickish despite the feminine ends, and should do well in the contest, and certainly fulfills the rather slack requirements of the prompt...excellent entry.

There was quite a brouhaha about limerick syllables a while ago, so I think that's why the looser requirements for this type of poem. I, for one, think this makes way more sense.
Thanks for the review.

LOL, well, this is a fun limerick, and exactly what the format itself calls for (in my Irish-roots mind). That's also one heckuva card game, and an entertaining way to spend an evening (knobby knees or not! LOL)

I find this to be a humorous, suggestive limerick.
The use of alliteration and solid rhyming are effectively employed.
A clever art-work selection as well.
A worthy writing prompt entry, best wishes.
