Hi New Zealander, glad that island in the sea is lovely, LisaMay. I wouldn't mind visiting, but I'm grounded on my big land mass. :) I have a daughter that's a world traveler. She works on airplanes and get to go where she wants too. Next week she and a cousin are going to Rome. She was in Pairs a couple of week ago and a whole lot of other places. She told me, "I'll never get another chance to see as much as I can of the world." and I envy her! :) Thank you for sharing your Island.

Hi Lisa May. I can totally follow you in this essay praising the country you're obviously so proud of. I come from a small country, Denmark and I can identify with your sentiments. Although I haven't lived in my country since 1992, I still fiercely proud of all it has achieved. I recognise the same values. I have a very good friend in Auckland. I'm with you girl. All best. well done commentary on New Zealand - facts I've never heard - and perhaps many Americans are unaware of - the movie "fastest Indian" - haven't seen that and really like Anthony Hopkins - will have to look it up.

Gonna six pack this because it is a great write but I gotta tell ya, I have a big problem with Jacinta. My housemate is ex NZ and keeps me up to date with her moves and grooves. I'm not gonna go there but she has made and continues to make some silly decisions that will impact on the NZ economy. DJ

I'm glad you could get past my mention of Jacinda... I left her till the end. I'm aware of how you think she's on the wrong track. Most people are wrong about some things, can't be 100% perfect, but what the things she is on the right track about are things I admire.
