yeah, don't look to me to judge the whole 'sonnet meter thing' ... I quit trying. :) :) But on substance and syllable count here? This is a beautiful offering, Jose!! Love the presentation that man's nature simply cannot be erased because of a golden band, but he can hold that nature in check for his wife for that is the meaning of the band he wears. To break that bond, to let the threads unravel and the nature truly run its course, is the pathway to tears. Believe me, my friend, nature is certainly a two-way street.... ;) :) Thank you for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;) :) Yvette
