This poem evoked rich imagery with each word. The verbs and adjectives created movement in my mind. This poem really does make you recall a youthful moment in your life when you were care-free and felt the fluttering freedom of a butterfly.

For me the insect that gets me most reminiscent concerning my childhood is the firefly, or, as some like to refer to them--lightning bugs.
We would fill Ball canning jars with them, put Saran Wrap with holes punched in the top so they could breathe and then use them as a sort of natural lantern.
Those were good times...

This is an uplifting and cheerful write and I have never seen a butterfly in black and white before. We have pure white ones which seem to be very popular! The joys of seeing a butterfly fly by, loved the sentiments here, love Dolly x
