But do we listen? We have such a wonderful planet and we are destroying it little by little.
Thanks for sharing your lovely poem.
Good luck in the contest.

Saw it down, bulldoze the hill, pave the meadow, we cannot get filthy rich being benevolent stewards-or can we? Looks like an excellent nature five seven five to me.

You have captured my sentiment's exactly!
This testament to protecting and preserving precious nature,
cannot be overstated. The pristine photo-art well complements.
Great job overall!

In my opinion, a beautiful write, gentle, yet dynamic in its earnest message of regard for the earth - fully compliant with the prompt - best of luck in the contest...

Very good - truly a nature poem and the count of the poem is correct. Well done. Loving all things that the earth (God) gives us to enjoy. We just spent a few days at our beaches - and hit perfect weather - what a treat.

Life is a beach! Thanks, Gail.

Nice, directly to the point of what you wanted to say in the limited space provided. I especially liked the use of benevolent stewardship. Two words with seven syllables.

I don't have much confidence in mankind's stewardship of this planet. I think all we've done, has just been token gestures. I believe that eventually that we will make the environment unbearable for humans who quite probably will become extinct. After ten million years, the earth will have no memory of man. Perhaps, I'm just having a bad day. I do appreciate your optimism. Best wishes.

Thanks, Victor. While I didn't actually express any optimism, I am not as pessimistic as you. Man will continue to do irreparable damage, though I think we'll still manage to survive for eons, albeit in sub-optimal conditions.

I'm of the mind, that I hope for the best but expect the worst. I hope you're right. Not so much for us, but for the generation yet to come.

-Beautiful image and
nice presentation.
-The syllable count is
good, and effective use
of one continuous thought.
-I like the personification
of nature, and the
message in your poem.
-The second line is
a good image, and
shows that is what
nature asks of us.
-A very good entry;
good luck in the contest.

A very well-written 5-7-5 about the land that is loved and the beauty she has is all we ask for. The picture is an excellend choice to show the beautiful landscape.
