It's very nice to find a poem that is so very positive and upbeat. You present the fact that you actually have choices you can make and that you choose joy.
One thing I picked up on is the fact you don't always have a choice, but when you do, you choose joy.

This nonet, Choices, has the proper nine-to-one descending syllable format and finds that the reasoning which averts fear, failure, and forgotten moments is the pursuit of personal joy. Nice.
