Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

You have always been a man like an oak. Others may fall but you will not! Too much courage and integrity to let life beat you down. Why do you think you were gifted with so many brains?

There seems to be a common thought that "if you're not with me, then you're against me". So there is a lot of confrontation in the world, and opinions have to be backed up with force, an enforced breaking point.
We each have our own breaking points and our own moral dilemmas and demons to stand up to. Then we can go down fighting.

This is the point that everyone will be faced with at some point in their life. I've heard a saying that goes like this: "if you don't stand for something, then, you'll fall for anything." I'd rather stand for what I believe in instead of backing down to popular opinion. I enjoyed the message of this. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

I think you did a good job capturing the point of view of a soldier. I'm thinking even though soldiers are faced with the prospect of death, their adrenalin must click in so that they can do their job. War sucks! Good poem! Hugs, Lou

Love the fragmented fractured feel of the construction, and you worked in plenty of emotion and drama in the voice as well. What comes across is the frustration of the confrontation, the helplessness of the individual caught up and swept away by these moments of humanity that are larger than ourselves. estory

Yes sir. I sometimes think, or feel rather, that my end is to be finally standing up for something-regardless of consequence.

Hello my friend, it has been awhile since I have been on site but I'm happy to see you are still here and still posting your own unique style of poetry.
At some point the hordes have to be met and taken on, the line in the sand drawn and the wheel of fate spun one more time. Nice!

A stone, in and of itself, is a formidable defense against an oncoming onslaught.
A horde of rabid & ready wall of humanity is a mountain that cannot be moved.
Remember the Greek King Leonidas of Sparta and the Battle at Thermopylae?

I was going to let this poem pass. I'm so glad I didn't. Those last four lines so beautifully and powerfully describe the thought that I believe must go through the mind of every soldier as he goes into battle. That really brought the meaning, or at least my interpretation to life. Hope I didn't misunderstand your intent.

I like how you structured this poem with deep emotions and feelings. I think that I get your point of what you intend to say. I think. Nice work! No grammatical errors.
